Living in Texas is Fantastic

I admit that I was pretty scared when my husband told me we were going to have to move to Texas. I had never been there, and it would be the first time that I had lived more than a few miles from my folks. I knew this day was coming though, so I was also pretty excited about starting this next phase of our lives. I wanted to look at Lake Highlands apartments in Dallas first because I had no idea if this is where we would end up settling for the long haul or if this would just be a temporary stop on his climb up the corporate ladder.

I looked only at one bedroom apartments because I knew that we would not need anything much bigger than that. We considered getting a two bedroom in case my parents wanted to come visit, but then we figured we would be the ones traveling at least for the first couple of years since we both have brothers and sisters in the area as well. Rather than waste money on a bigger apartment, we would just save it for a down payment on a house in a few years.

The one bedroom apartment that I found us at Park Ninety Six 90 is really nice too. It has everything we need, including a washer and dryer as well as a nice sized balcony where we can just relax just about any day of the year. The rent is a lot cheaper than what I was expecting to, but that could be because we were paying a premium price close to New York City before moving here. I am finding out that Texas is a beautiful and fun place to live, and I don’t think I will ever go north again other than to visit family!
